Merry Christmas Everyone

I don’t often check in here as I have had a particularly bad brush with C-19 which has resulted in far more serious problems.

I have discovered quite a lot about fibromyalgia and CFS through my research and will reiterate my recommendations about taking curcumin (turmeric); magnesium, and milk thistle.

Of course strong CBD helps, but I don’t like taking the strength of drops I need. The balm is excellent, but so is prescription strength voltarol gel. Epsom salt baths are fabulous for the aches and cramps, just drink lots of water!

Above all, the most difficult but important thing is to be active. Don’t beat yourself up on the bad days where you cannot go out for a walk, but don’t allow this illness to give you a free pass to sedentary. It’s the worst thing that you can possibly do.

Chin up. It’s super tough living with this illness, but we can if we have the right mindset.

Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy it to the fullest and stay safe.

Hi FibroGirlUK - I hope you're OK as far as Covid-19 goes? Whilst I know that turmeric can help some, some can't tolerate it, as it can upset the stomach; I don't know about magnesium, & in particular milk thistle.

However, as far as CBD goes, I would like to comment. It is best to start off low, & slow to wake up our body's endocannabinoid system. Unfortunately too many people try it, & feel it doesn't work, as they don't know how to start taking it/start off with too high a dose. It can help with pain, as well as anxiety/depression. Being in a lot of pain doesn't mean you necessarily need a high/strong dose of CBD. As everyone is different, what dose works for one person won't work for another. It is very much an individual response, & unfortunately a bit of 'trial & error' to see what works.

If a person also has anxiety, it's even more important to start off at a very low dose of CBD, or their anxiety could worsen.

I wholly endorse staying as active as possible.

Merry Christmas and Wish for you a very Happy New Year that will see you without many repercussions from COVID19. Thank you for your suggestions for handling symptoms. I do take milk thistle for helping with D-IBS. Use husband's voltarol when joint pain gets really bad but basically stick with lidocaine spray and rub. Have not tried magnesium. My recent labs this month show my magnesium in middle of accepted parameters. Tried CBD oil (my husband does take) upset my gastro with gas and too much poop (figured not going to work with my D-IBS even at very low dose). Well take care and hope and wish you good days.
