Merry Christmas from those in power; it's a snakes and ladders game

Stress, worry and upset, a struggle to claim benefits but who's to blame?

An independent assessor using a tick box form or more likely a privileged peer?!

The worst present ever! And certainly NOT what we need at this time of year

Vulnerable people who are chronically ill 24/7, climbing the ladders is a feat

Claimants needing support; why are we all assumed to be a benefit cheat?

There is such a thing as an invisible illness you know, we don't all have to look ill....

Medical knowledge of certain conditions would be plus or even a little bit of goodwill!

Living standards poor and rising cost of bills, stress to claim benefits takes it's toll

We roll the dice, will it land on a snake? It's a gamble, unfortunately we have no control!

Hard to understand procedures, oh boy! so many forms to complete to play ball

A headache from the start! A game we'd rather not play, no choice we must stand tall

Campaigns and petitions are signed all over the internet, as we think the welfare system is flawed

Luckily, we have support from organisations who understand we should not be ignored!

With Foodbanks being used everyday due to rising cost of living; austerity is rife

Life is difficult, we slide down the snakes; disorganisation causes distress and strife

With strength, we keep fighting to get the benefits we deserve and a decision that we need

Supporting each other through these times, the community pulls together against perceived greed

All year support is here, helping others through the difficult process; we will not fall or falter

Officials will understand the symptoms we live with daily therefore decisions they will alter

This present an unwanted gift it's heading for the trash, you shouldn't have bothered at all.............

Truth will out, we may lose at the start but the right decision will come our way - we will win overall !!
