Hi and a warm welcome to our community. Here you will find information support friendship and laughter too. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our main website fmauk.org

Sorry to hear about both your husband and your mum - the stress will certainly not be helping you. I appreciate it may be difficult, but trying to make sure that you are looking after your own health needs is important.

Mindfulness, meditation and distraction through hobbies and interests can help reduce stress levels, prioritising tasks and activities so that you are only doing essential ones, keeping active/gentle exercise also.

Aw what an awful situation you are in, no wonder your fibromyalgia is bad, your stress levels must be through the roof! Can only suggest working with your GP with regards to your pain management & making sure you take time for yourself.

Epsom salt baths, magnesium tablets or sprays for muscles, pace yourself as best you can even if it's just 5 or 10 minutes rest it helps & most things can wait.

Don't beat yourself up for not getting things done, you need to look after YOU to be there for your husband and your mum.

Take Care x

Hi there and welcome, this is a forum for Fibromyalgia support. So with only the odd exception everyone here suffers with fibro sadly.

When was you diagnosed with your fibro and may I ask what medication if any you are taking?

It sounds like you are in need of serious help. Have you spoke with your GP about this recently? If not then I would suggest you call your surgery and ask to speak with doctor.

I see you've left your post unlocked to this community only for privacy reasons you may want to lock it.

I am sorry your having such a rough time with your family.I know it is hard but you also need to look after you.

I use CBD oil from Holland and Barrett in the orange box

Take regular breaks and relax and calm the mind. Try do meditation or Tiachi. take care

How awful for you - no wonder you're feeling so poorly. Its a delicate balance between caring for your loved ones but at the same time looking after your own wellbeing. Have been there when my dear mum in law had terminal cancer. Take care:)

Difficult with so much stress of two people on end of life care. especially as you are unwell your self. Have you contacted Social Services about help that might be available?

My son is my carer and he lives with me, but we are both getting Covid depression and shielding. We have never seen the GP here as we only moved in in February, and have never been able to see the GP. Hesitate to call him, there are far more important patients than us.

We are keeping ourselves fairly separate as we just get snappy with each other. Fortunately, he has his man cave. and I have the garden.

It's difficult times for everyone. I basically do about five minutes work and then sit down for about 10 mins, then repeat, but the housework is getting away from me. Never mind; it is patient, it will wait!

😄

Cheers, Midori
