I have a weird smell when I'm coming into or out of a flare up

I have to say I thought my partner was imaging it until she bought a towel from the bathroom and asked me to smell it, I have to say that I was horrified when I smelt it because I consider myself a clean person.

How strange!

I notice a strong smell of onions when in a flare. Like I have been eating onions all day. I can have a bath, but hours later onions are there again. No idea why it happens!

Maybe it hormone related. Flares can be precipitated by hormonal shifts. I'm in peri-menopause phase myself with worsening fibro symptoms

Could this have something to do with meds? When I have a bad flareup, I increase my meds. Then I notice an unpleasant smell in the bedroom when I first get up. I don't notice it at other times. The skin does emit smells of what you put into your body, including strong food, so meds might be the answer.

My pee has a rather strong smell around flares which is embarrassing, plus yesterday I smelt rotting eggs a couple of times (in the room and not from me!). Trying to get over a flare and contending with a horrendous menopause obviously plays havoc with my senses/bladder - yay:( Take care:)

I have found this year that I have become very sensitive to smells and particularly in the bathroom.

Not just my mind playing tricks like my body then! Waiting for an awful flare at the moment to ease then will smell pungent for a day or two - yay:( what a way to entice the man in your life - my poor hubby. Hope you're not in too much pain at the moment Panda. Take care:)

Definitely not your mind, oh my goodness me too so there must be something to it surely. Hope your coping with yours and let’s pray it leaves us soon.
