I’ve been under the pain management for a few years now. I’ve had one lot of steroid injections in my back but now they won’t do another round for some reason. They have recommended nerve burning which I am apprehensive about. Has anyone had this done? Very anxious in case anything goes wrong. I forgot to mention I do have fibromyalgia but I also have bulges in my spine as well as disc dehydration
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you x

Sorry to hear about your pain. I have also suffered with enormous pain. In your case, have you considered doing inversion therapy? It basically puts you on a table/board and tips you (at your own pace!!) Upside down and it is a natural drug free way of gently allowing your spine to stretch and your discs to 'breathe'. It has very good recommendations for helping severe back pain. What do you think?
I have had nerve burning done and glad I did its uncomfortable when they do the procedure..numb your back then you have thine needles go in and they have electrodes go down to the nerves and they burn your nerve endings it last for about 30 min /1hour they speak to you all the while the time soon goes they lay you over when finished I went back in the ward sat up had a drink and something to eat then about 2 hours I went home to bed were you rest for a day or so its nothing to worry about
The procedure doesn’t seem that different from having the steroid injections. My biggest fear if I’m honest is what if something goes wrong. There is also no guarantee that it will work according to my consultant.
How long does the treatment last? As far as I know it’s not permanent
