So tonight I’ve had a feeling that’s worse than any pain I’ve ever had, I feel like I’m cooking from the inside out. I feel like I need to sweat but my skin won’t let me... it’s horrendous I’d trade it for all the pains I’ve had so far put together

Burning from the inside out!
You might have flu coming on
Fibromyalgia often means your temperature is out of control and you can feel like you are burning up constantly with just breaks. You can be freezing cold after too. This is because your body regulation is faulty because of Fibro. Think it's the Hypothalamus gland but not sure. Google body sweats or like under Fibromyalgia symptons. My Doctor agrees but not found ou the treatment yet.
Unfortunately as others have said it can be our fibro faulty thermometer. I am mostly freezing but sometimes have that burning sensation. Strangely I was at book club this morning and thought I would have to excuse myself and come home as I felt the heat was unbearable. Everyone else was putting cardigans on and I was taking off every item of clothing I recently could. You can guess the rest half an hour later when I had just decided to go home in two minutes became absolutely frozen and ended up putting cardigans. And my thick coat on.Finek has alot to answer for you have my sympathy.x

I have FM/RP. This is compounded by IEM (inherited Erythromelalgia) I’m one of 3 worldwide with this very painful debilitating condition. I was diagnosed age 19 with Sympathetic Nerve damage. It all affects my body thermostat. My skin feels cool/cold while the inside is on fire 🔥 like I could spontaneously combust. I developed neuropathy and by evening that ramps up and my legs/feet feel like they are in boiling oil.
I’m taking Gabapentin 1200mg twice daily. It make things tolerable but doesn’t block it completely.
It all flares together with my arthritis when it’s foggy rainy humid or snowy.
I live in the northern USA 🇺🇸 where we constantly get these conditions.
You can go to a clinic site here known worldwide for excellence in diagnostics and care at
mayoclinic.org
You can look up symptoms as well as conditions/diseases.
Best wishes.

I know exactly what you mean. That burning up inside is THE most horrific of all the many pains related to fibro. I liken it to being imprisoned in a torture chamber. I find that this particular horror is more likely to happen during the night (must be associated with lying down.) For me, the second most unbearable type of pain is a feeling of having a urinary infection (which I never have.) These two often occur together. When this part of the 'cycle' moves on, it is always followed by severe, all body, excruciating muscle pain (the worst is around the abdominal area, so I can't stand up, even to brush my teeth etc.) This time, I've been in this never ending cycle for a whole week! When it's really bad (which is often) I'm grateful if I can just sit and watch TV without crying with the pain. Going out is not an option! My heart goes out to all who are in awful pain much more often than not. 🥀
