My old friend is back. Does anyone else here suffer? It feels and sounds like my brain is electrically charged, like I can feel the neurotransmitters operating on full pelt, or the central nervous system in overdrive I imagine. The tone changes pitch occasionally, like changing gears; sometime I hear it happening. It's been in the background for a few weeks, a low kinda drone.

Yesterday I sneezed an innocuous sneeze and that kicked it off. This time more powerful than ever. . maybe it's the change of weather these last few days, slipping into Autumn.

Around the same time last year I had a huge flare up and haven't been able to get back to work since. Yesterday I managed to put milk in my potnoodle! I Need to get ready for winter hibernation. Thanks for listening to my brain farts.. hope you're all doing as good as can be xx

I have tinnitus, I don't hear tones mine is more like a shushing sound a bit like when you used to put a seashell to your ear as a kid. I've had ENT problems since birth and until I saw an audiologist a few years ago about my hearing loss I didn't know that everyone else doesn't hear this sound I've had it probably since birth so I've never known any difference!! Much like Flyby7 I don't notice the tinnitus anywhere near as much when I'm wearing my hearing aids. If it's causing you issues I would recommend seeing an audiologist, hearing aids are a common treatment for people with constant tinnitus. You don't have to get a GP referral you could book an appointment with Boots or Specsavers to get an assessment and advice and if they recommend hearing aids but you don't want to pay for them privately you could then go to your GP and tell them what the audiologist recommended and ask for a referral.

I have tinnitus which I think is mate worse when my neck is sore. / headache. I’m sleeping propped up due to reflux so my head & neck are at an angle which is causing pain & aggravates tinnitus

I do have tinnitus, most of the time I can ignore it but if someone was to play loud music say it would set it off bad , hence my husband waits till I go food shopping😀till he has his music loud. Yes I’m getting myself geared up for the change in weather ❄️💦💨⛄️when it’s even harder to get out of bed and you want to stay under the duvet longer , take care xxxx

Hi smiler iv been suffering with it everyday now for for the last 10 months. I keep looking to see who is cutting the grass

And in the night I don’t know if it’s me or the tv. Doing my head in quietly 🙄😂it’s so annoying. Plus I have a perforated ear so I’m having a load of muck weeping out and blocking my ear. How do you manage it?

I have had it for a few years now. Started after a flight to New Zealand...ever since I hear what sounds like an aeroplane engine...any doctor I see always says when did the buzzing start?and seems surprised when I say it's not a buzz it's the roar of a747....i find i'm better off with outside noise rather than peace and quiet..music or TV drowns out the noise in my head ....I have periods of respite but never sure what triggers it to return. Take care. X

I have a dose of electricity today, I have been a bit stressed over the last few days, and I am wondering if it is related.

Hope it settles down for you, x
