The mattress was the hubby’s ide, He has a bad back. We had a horribly expensive memory foam a mattress that just seemed to make it worse. I was ok with it. ( though I found it hot ) honestly did not think a new mattress would help my fibro.( that's why we bought the memory foam in the first place ) Ended up buying another horribly expensive mattress, this one is a hybrid by Beautyrest. Both pocket coil and memory foam . A God send. Hubby is feeling better. For Me.....best spend ever. No more pressure points or hotspots. Along with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. Heaven! Best low pain sleep I have had in years.

It is so much trial and error with mattresses isn't it? They can feel so comfy in the shop but totally different when you try a night on them. Since moving here 4 years back hubby is in his third one and I don't think he is entirely satisfied with the one he has got but better than the other two. Mine is definitely last its sell by date but not sure whether to have one of those electric beds which would be a very expensive mistake if it doesn't suit. I always feel cold when I first get in bed so have to out on electric blanket for a bit but with memory foam it then often gets too warm, they are terrible in summer seem to retain the heat. Glwd you seem to have found one that suits it must be bliss.x

Thank you for sharing this, it is always good to get recommendations from people who actually use a product.

I have actually been sleeping, trying to sleep in my recliner chair of late because I just couldn't get comfortable enough in bed to stay asleep for long before pain woke me.

Glad you have found a solution that works for both of you.

My hybrid Mattress was a god send too. Both myself and my hubby found it beneficial. He now has to use an electric adjustable bed, because of mobility issues and other problems, he has a hybrid on there too.

I've been writing an article on mattresses for FMA UK and hybrid mattresses came a close second in our survey. (Memory foam came top) but what the survey did show was that no one type of mattress suits everyone with fibro

I've recently invested in Egyptian cotton sheets. I have slept better lately as I don't spend my time in bed throwing off the covers! 😁 I'd definitely recommend them.
