Most of us are stuck with this condition. Your GP or Physician is the best person to advice as each of us is different. Some members use lots of medications but it does not work for me.
Pacing is key and gentle exercises such as walking or hydrotherapy. It’s unfortunate that no one is running hydrotherapy service due to the pandemic. I occasionally use cbd oil but the difference is marginal as I go so hazy and drowsy for a few days.
I am at the end of my journey with this, I have given up but I was told I still need a daily structure 🙈
I am sure other members will tell you more, best wishes
Hi Painny thank your for your reply and information I have a appointment with my doctor today so will find out more hopefully
Hi and a warm welcome to our community. Here you will find information support friendship and laughter too. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our main website fmauk.org
Hi B-bon I've been diagnosed for a year now and still trying to come up with something that helps. I tried duloxetine first but I had a bad reaction. Im now on pregablin, which now I've increased them, is starting to help...slightly.
I also use hot water bottles and heat bags. I also love my weighted blanket. My pain clinician has been great at helping to deal with it mentally. You could ask your gp to refer you.
Light exercise, although I need 2 new knees, so struggle with that due to pain.
My daughter has bought a hot tub so I've had a few dips in that and that did help for a while.
Its all trail and error, see what suits you best im afraid there's no miracle cure.
