Hi all I have been refused pip 2 times now gone to appeal! However this was in January I presume cos of COVID19 It’s delayed but I applied for pip 24 July 2019 , I’m really struggling and depressed with the stress
What should I expect next ? Who can I call about the appeal?
So very fed up and tearful
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Unfortunately, as you say covid-19 has affected pip appeals. Appeal hearings are being carried out remotely, but there are long delays. You could contact the tribunals service, but I suspect they will just tell you similar to what I have and you will receive a date for your appeal in due course
I thought the post said that they had only just applied for PIP in July and wanted to know what to expect next and also the appeal process if it happened again x

I was on DLA. Until 2014 my mum died and I lost my DLA I lost the plot and moved away from my ‘siblings’ as they were causing so much stress .. my fibromyalgia sort of went into remission. I got a full time job and was okay up until Feb 2019 my back went and on 17 th July was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease , spinal stenosis and I suffer with no-lateral sciatica and of course the fibromyalgia has reared its ugly head , I’m at my wits end, my counsellor helped me with my PIP application and deals with the paperwork for me and the online stuff , I had to give up my job , but was lucky to get another post within the company 17& 1/2 hrs which has been a benefit but I’m really struggling ... sorry for long post !! IT SUCKS BASICALLY 😭
Hello Sharon, you say you have been refused PIP on two separate occasions, did you request an MR?? When you or any one applies for pip it is best to doa self assessment being totally honest with your self and when applying for PIP you must focus odes the PIP descriptiors on how they affect your abilities to preform each of the descriptiors safely, repeatably and in a timely manner. What you submit in your application form will have to be justified at your F2F assessment. If you are waiting for an tribunal expect a log waiting time, you could contact the tribunal service for an update of a possible tribunal hearing date.
There was the judge a dr and a woman from DWP, loads of questions again I broke down because I'm fed up of having to explain myself.
They were 45mins Late calling me so that made me anxious.
After all the questions they said that they would look at it and send decision through post!
Not sure of outcome but I know of 2 people with Fibromyalgia who sailed through there assessment and got pip no problem but for us it's not so easy Why?
Anyway its definitely worth doing and try and get someone to speak with you ! Good luck x
