Hi everyone, hope everyone is well and not in too much pain.
Has anyone suffered with hives. I am taking Gabapentin 500mg 3x daily, but I think the hives started before GP changed my meds.xx

Hi yeah I get hives.
I’m not on gabapentin.
I have fibro as well as endometriosis and adenomyosis. Not sure if there is a link to the conditions or medications we take.
It will be interesting to see if others have this issue too x
One of my very first ‘unexplained’ symptoms was Hives, long before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I’m on Fexofenadine 4 tablets - it’s only licensed for one a day but hospital consultant increased it. I have to show hospital letter to the chemist when collecting my prescription for the first time. I’m also on ranitidine as it helps with skin conditions. Obviously I now know it’s a Fibro connected skin condition. I’ve tried reducing the fexofenadine but after 1 less tablet for a few days my skin gets sore so I’m still on the 4. Fexofenadine is a strong antihistamine. Before the fexofenadine I took steroids but they would only clear it up for a few weeks and after 3 times it was changed to this. It’s been 6 years now. It’s just more tablets to add to my daily rattle of tablets!
Idk if its related to the fibro, but I get hives when I get stressed. I started getting them while I was at uni and id never seen anything like it, I didn't know what it was and my lips would swell and everything. I put it down to stress, (this was pre diagnosis)
Hi
Gabapentin made me feel like a
Zombie . I was on 3600 mg 4x900 a day . Hospital in London put me on them . I started off on a low dose . I felt terrible also I found my weight was hard to control . Two years later I’m down to 100x3 . I want to be off of them. I’ve had lots of side effects from medication. I don’t think I need to take so much so have asked doctor to ween me off . I was taking 30 tablets a day which is crazy how do we know how some medication mixes with others. It seemed at one time when I went to the doctors I always ended up with more medication.
