Feels like ages when I sent off my pip form, but it’s 2 weeks ago. I wish I knew if I am having a f2f or telephoned assessment, hate the waiting!!

26 weeks until i got my telephone assessment - lets hope they are going to start speeding up now but my daughters claim was 28 weeks and that was before shut down, im sorry to seem like a downer, but on the upside they do backdate your money if your awarded PIP - so theres at least something to ease the wait? Gentle hugs xxx

It’s frustrating, hopefully they will contact you soon x

It can often take a few months before you hear anything about your assessment. Very unlikely you will get a date within 2 weeks, even in normal times

I had a phone call about 3-4 weeks after I sent my form in, asking if I was happy to have a telephone assessment and then had my assessment 4 weeks after the call. Try and give them a call. Hope you hear something soon, so stressful waiting x

I’m not very good at being patient, 😁

Hello, it takes about 2 weeks for your information to be uploaded onto the DWP computer system. Don't worry you won't have been forgotten. What ever you have wait a week then contact DWP and request a copy of your assessment report and on receiving it you can workout what you're award may should be but you still have to wait for the official award confirmation letter which can take up to 8 weeks.

That's weird because DWP have had my forms for a year or more. And I have still not received the brown envelope.

Before you say ring them.

I can't because I have panic attacks talking to people on the phone and I don't have anyone else who can call them.

Like I have said in other posts.

DWP has had my forms for over a year or more.

I pretty sure they are behind on things.

I try not to think about it. It's the same with my ESA.

They have had my ESA forms form 15 months now and no answer.

I didn't even know you could email them.

Thanks for the information 👍.

They must have other ways for us to contact them, not everyone can use the telephone. Hope u get sorted Lexapug

Email address for DWP/PIP/DLA needed 2 years 3 months ago #204360. The DWP do not accept emails in regard to benefit issues so it's write or get someone to phone on your behalf.4 Feb 2018

Thanks for the information 😊.

I hope you get a phone call appointment.

That is typical with the DWP not accepting emails.

Email would have been better for me.

I live alone so there's no one else to phone them.

I sure they will get around to me eventually.

Yes I’m hoping for a phone assessment, but I don’t know if that will happen. They did text me to say they had received my forms.

Yes I was concerned that they might go missing and so relieved to hear that they got them.

Yep it was a review form.

I think.

It has been that long🤣🤣.

Phoning not really an option as I have panic attacks speak to people on the phone.

Pretty sure if they need to tell me something, they will let me know.

Hopefully

Thanks for your reply.

Hi I sent my pip form off in December last year and I heard nothing until I had a letter saying that I had a phone assessment which was last week.

They told me I have to wait another 8 weeks for the results.

It is a long process, stay strong they will get to you.

Good luck with the claim. Xx
