I read on here that we should get free prescritions is this true? I keep getting a pre paid card which i pay for!

I get free prescriptions but I take thyroxine

there are only about 5 diseases that you can get free prescriptions for. thyroid and diabetes being 2 of them,

Or, if you move to Wales where it doesn't matter what meds you're on - thank goodness all my prescriptions are free

I have to say, that I do accept that I have to pay for prescriptions as I have always done as a member of the NHS. However, I do feel that first Scotland didn't pay for prescriptions & now followed by Wales, it does make me wonder why we have to be classed as the United Kingdom now instead of Great Britain as we were at one time referred too!

I am not moaning as such, because I know that as a country we are very lucky to have the NHS, having travelled over seas & seen reports from other countries on the TV, I know that we would be much worse off somewhere else. I for one would not be able to afford the type of care that I receive in this country

i have lways paid for my percriptions on a pre payment scheme and didnt mind but until now i was un aware i am entitled to free but only because of other problems and losing my job
