On 300 gabapentin 3 times a day. Naproxen 500 twice a day.. I went to see him a week ago as i can barley walk due to pain in my back and travelling down my hips.well lt feels like that.i have stiff hands and dont sleep well. I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 yr ago next month.i also have sacrilliac joint dysfunction. Carpul tunnel both hands and trapped nurve in elbow all realesed by surgery but still have trouble with grip. I also suffer from supraventrical tackicardia(fast heart beat) so on propanalol 40 ml twice a day..rest off my life. Ive acid reflux .omperezone 40ml twice.aday. amatrypaline 2 x 20ml twice a day. To help me sleep.tramadol 200ml twice aday.for pain. Im on permanent antihistomines due to allergys. Im on lowest pip. Why is my dr dragging his heals about a diagnosis off fibro or referring me to a arthritus dr.what do you guys think.is ghis been treated as fibro or does he just keep giving me more pills .pain is constant even thoe on all these meds.thankyou.Gaynor

Thankyou dexter .i was having injections in my spine for my sacriliac pain. But dr retired and ive never been given another appointment. That was about two yrs ago. I for got to mention that i was at drs friday .due to excruciating pain in my hips and down my legs.he said my sciatica had flared up.im in pain standing doing nothing.my body is in less pain if i stoop. It gets that bad sometimes that i feel like iim forcing myself to walk. Ithink all this pain is due to stress and anxiety of my auristic daughter 18 yrs.shes very hard work and draining me and my hubby. Ive had a tough up bringing and it catching up on me. I was abused physically. By my mother and sexually abused by her husband my step father . She had a knife at my throat for telling police over him and this was when i was 20 my son not his has seen everything. Hes a drug addict and havent seen him in last 4 yrs age 36 now. I have also had an ex abused who emotionally abused me .we had a son and daughter together daughter 30 now her brother was a cot death victem in 1990 age 4 months old my son saw that two. It was 30 yrs on 6th jan since my son passed I have got a lovelly husband now and three children /young adults. Could it be fibro with all the stress ive had in past and now with my daughter.thankyou for listening

I would also aside from seeing a rheumatologist look into counselling xxx and cbt also xxx these could help also see if you can get some respite for your daughter for a day a week so you can have a break xxx I also have a child who is autistic so I completely understand xxx

Mydexter you have been through so much emotional pain as well as physical. Counselling can be extremely helpful. I had my final diagnosis of fibromyalgia last week from rheumatology she was so nice. Explained while there is not one cause for fibro trauma can be a factor. Take care

Hi, I’ve just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also have Diffuse scleroderma and Raynauds, chronic kidney disease, arthritis.

Ok from what the professor at the Royal Free said they establish diagnosis of fibromyalgia on a point system . For example pain in joints and also pressure points all over the body.

Have they mentioned Scleroderma ? Do you have tight skin ? Look into that.

I am on 2 Amitriptyline, esomeprazole, mebevrine, gabapentin 3 , lisinopril, fexofenodine, cocodomol, Tramadol ( just phasing this out) ondansatron, 5 different antibiotics rotate every other week.

On the NHS website you can do self diagnosing test for fibromyalgia.

Hope this helps ? But yes your doctor needs to examine you and see where pain is! Then give you a diagnosis.

Ask your Doctor to refer you to a Rheumotology Specialist. As for Gabapentin I've stopped taking them , great for the pain but played havoc with my bowels and Tummy
