Hi.

First welcome to this wonderful forum of brilliant people who are ready to help and advise.

I'm so sorry you are struggling. Has your GP referred you to a rheumatologist, they can diagnose fibro. One of the tell tale signs of lupus is a butterfly rash on your face. I'm sorry I don't know much more but I'm sure soy will be along with more suggestions, I just wanted you to know that i care about you and everyone else. Take care and hat a restful sleep. Lynne

Lupus is usually diagnosed by blood tests, looking for positive ANA although not always an indication of Lupus as I tested positive but have the fibro diagnosis as the test wasn't positive enough in the rheumatologist's opinion. I don't consider I have Lupus even though some family members have it. Many symptoms of fibro and lupus are similar. I had a facial rash and saw a dermatologist too but she confirmed not lupus rash.

I have always found that putting my concerns in writing to my GP and following it up with a telephone consult will lead to further investigations being done as they have it in writing and have to respond. Maybe this is the way forward for you too.

With regard to stiffness perhaps try hydrotherapy.
