👇🏼 First of all, I would like to share with you the news the charity is moving into a new office. Over the last year the charities staff has grown by 100% and the current office was feeling a bit cramped. Our new office is just across the hall and is over twice the size that we currently have. It will allow us to grow the team and have space to carry out in house training amongst other activities.
Our new office layout is coming together but it will take time over the coming months to settle into our new home. This change has been a long time coming and is only possible due to the dedication of volunteers, fundraisers and our staff team. Without their dedication we would not be able to plan for the future.
It is great to be able to share this news as often we have projects on the go that we are not able to share or opportunities that take longer than expected. The charity is always moving forward and it’s a pleasure to share positive news like this.
I would also like to share that the office staff levels have changed as well. Lynda Warden who began as a volunteer in the office has moved from being a part time member of staff to Full time hours. If you are contacting us for fundraising then Lynda is likely to respond to you.
Also, Reece Henderson who started as our communications apprentice has finished his courses and passed his assessments. We would like to congratulate him on finishing his apprenticeship.
The new office will allow us to recruit more volunteers with a view of better supporting the fibromyalgia community. We also plan to increase staff levels over the coming years as well.
We can see an exciting path in front of us that should allow the charity to continue to punch above its weight. We are still a very small charity but we are moving in the right direction. - Des Quinn, Chair.
