I’m 32 years old I became very ill and lost all my mobility during my 1st pregnancy at 16 weeks pregnant in 2016 it was a huge mystery to all professionals and also lots thinking I was being very over dramatic when I was in so much pain. 1 year later after so many hospital appointments at last I was diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome Fibromyalgia, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Vulvodynia. I was on Duloxetine 120mg for a while didn’t do anything for me and then I was put on Gabapentin 900mg didn’t like it at all side effects were horrible. I’ve lived now with the pain for 3 years and it’s still as bad as it was when I first experienced it. I decided in the end to stop using tablets as I was so much like a zombie and not doing anything but staying in bed all the time and it wasn’t good bringing up my son who is now 2 years old. I use morning and night cefalan cream which I rub in where I’m aching or in terrible pain which does help a little it’s like magic cream. At the moment before bed I take 2 15mg/Codeine Phosphate hemihydrate/ 500mg Paracetamol as I’ve not been sleeping at all due to extreme pelvic pain at night. I see a pain team who regularly keep an eye on things. Unfortunately waiting to see a neurologist yet again, as I had 6 days of slurred speech my face looked like I had a stroke it was a frightening experience which is unexplainable at the moment but was told it’s likely to link with my fibromyalgia.

Hi

I'm so sorry you are having such a rotten time. An Aunty of ours had this feeling in her face, I think it was belles palsy(I think that's how you spell it 😁 )

I'm like you with pain 24/7, an hour or less sleep each night , this has been going on for 5 years!!! I have IBS, diverticulitis, gastritis, costochondritis, degeneration of the facet joint, fibro, Nash ( non alcoholic steatohepititis caused by meds from my Drs over the years) under active thyroid, shin splints, sciatica, depression, spondylitis , o a in knees ,i think that's it!!

Hope you get some relief from your conditions very soon, I know of people with hypermobility syndrome who are in agony. Please take care of yourself

I'm sorry I having such a hard time back in 2011 I was having weakness in my left leg and then one morning my leg just dropped from under me and my whole left side was shaking I thought I was having a stroke my husband took me to the hospital I had all kinds of tests done stayed in the whole weekend at the hospital the doctor came in and said to me Monday morning you didn't have a stroke he had some kind of seizure anyway since then they put me on tranquilizers which did nothing except maybe a zombie I finally went to Cleveland Clinic and the doctor there she put me on gabapentin I started with 200 mg now I'm up to 400 mg twice a day getting back to your issue I think 900 mg is way too strong for you right now you need to gradually move up your body has to get used to it maybe you can start at 300 mg a day it should help with the fibromyalgia numbness tingling are you able to walk? My suggestion to you is now I'm not a doctor but maybe you should get MRIs of your brain to see what's going on up there finally I went to a brain surgeon and he said something on the right side of your brain the arteries and veins are kind of fuse together sporadically and it's not operable you just have to be careful go to physical therapy which I've been doing for the last 6 years I walk good in the house but when I go out I have to use a cane unfortunately I wish you lots of luck new Journey God bless
