Hi anyone found something to help with the fatigue. I am absolutely wiped out. Itching is horrendous. I have stopped my amitryptaline as making symptoms worse. Any tips please

I found in the early days amitriptyline wiped me out, they are not for everyone. Poor sleep and overdoing things causes fatigue you will have to learn about pacing yourself..ask your g.p to get you in board with a physio and ask about hydrotherapy sessions, absolute heaven for gentle stretching to get those tired muscles going..hope you get something sorted

Try looking at Dr Sarah Myhill’s website as she has lots of info on the fatigue aspect of fibromyalgia.

Good quality sleep helps but some nights that can be elusive, no matter what you try.

I use sleep hypnotherapy on YouTube, usually send me off to sleep but last night nothing worked. Awful night and I’m wiped out today. Back in bed , burning feet, costochondritis flare up and trying to keep awake so I’ll sleep tonight.

May I suggest you also go back to your doctor to report the side effects you're experiencing from the amitriptyline and any other meds you may be taking. This information is invaluable both to your doctor (as it will help them to treat you better and discover what you may be allergic to, avoid those in future) and will ensure that certain combinations of drugs could work better for you.

They also pass the information back to the manufacturers which they use to improve their products and that essentially benefits all the rest of us.

there are many people who have come off amitriptyline, moved on to Gabapentine or Pregabaline and have not looked back.

By all means try other natural health tips but please do go back to your GP as soon as you can with your comprehensive feedback - so make a note of everything you're feeling right now.

Wishing you all the best going forward.
