Just wondering how many people have asthma as well as fibro and if it effects your breathing when having a flare up?

I used to have asthma, but have learned to avoid my triggers, so I only get an occasional ideopathic one nowadays. I am finding that I have Hay Fever for the first time in 71 years! Not much fun.

Thanks, I have brittle asthma and have for years just finding it harder to manage since the fibromyalgia reared it’s ugly head. I’m waiting to see a specialist nurse to see if they can try anything else. I’m already on xolair injections

Yep, just makes a flare up that little bit more terrifying when you can’t breathe properly. Don’t know if you have costochondria but the first time I had that plus asthma I honestly thought that was it for me. Hope you get the help you need soon. Xx

Hi shassh, yes, I have the joys of both! My poor physio works in overdrive trying to keep my chest, back & shoulder muscles freed up particularly when my Brittle asthma is in flare up mode. I wish you well in the delicate balance x
