Hi
First of you all I wish you all the very best. Are you taking anyone with you? I was warned that they will ask you a question and then further down will ask the same question a different way round to see if you answer it the same way. They did this to me but I was ready!! Take care Lynne
Lynne has given good advice, the only thing I would add is to think before you answer any questions. As Lynn said they may ask the same question but in a different way, try and give yourself a couple of seconds to get your answer straight. Good luck Linda xx
Hi, You should take someone with you for sure, if only for moral support. We tend to downplay our symptoms so make sure you tell them about the problems you have on a daily basis and if you need help from somebody else, how often. etc
Is your assessment centre at Tithebarn street? I only ask as I am currently working on a project where I am collecting peoples experiences at all the PIP centres to help others know what to expect when they attend. One of the issues with this particular centre seems to be parking and I have been told it's over 50 metres from the nearest parking spaces to the doors, will you have somebody to take you?
Thank you for your reply I am in the Breck road department by the Asda will let you know how things go🤞🏻
I had a PIP assessment at Titheban street some years ago. Parked at Tesco Park Road & got a taxi to it . Too difficult to park there even with a blue badge. Also i recommend taking a taxi as i dont like them seeing me drive
Thanks for this post Viva, it's most helpful. It's the kind of information that I am after so that I can create a document to help warn others of potential issues that might arise at their particular centre. Good Luck with it Broadway.
Are you undercover DWP ?
viva, what an insult.. as I said earlier, I am in the process of creating a guide for everyone to use which will help them with their assessment. If they haven't been before, it would be nice if they knew about potential parking issues, distances they need to walk, wheelchair accessibility etc.. I am a disabled person who want's to help other disabled people, that's all.. I understand people needing to be careful online these days but there's nothing to be paranoid about here, I am trying to help people and all information is confidential..
