Fibromyalgia and lifting

Hi all! It’s been a while since I’ve posted something here as been busy posting information and fibromyalgia via instagram and connecting with people and have a lot more of that planned. I did however record this frustration video today about my symptoms and day to day struggling with my weakness with this thing. I really want to share it out so it hopefully makes other people feel more understood but also hear your guys feedback. Anyways here is the link :)

Your video clip explains very well, the utter frustration we feel!! I become tearful and angry with the whole world at times! I have now ventured into CBD OIL and have halved prescription pain killers and come off antidepressants completely! This in itself has made my lifestyle so much better! I still need to "pace" (I really hate that word) at times, but overall I feel more alert and able to do more! Yes, I still have bad days but this is normally after exerting myself the day before! I hope you find your answers, and keep up the good work! Love and blessings to you!!🙏🏾

I’m taking the CBD stuff and does help but sadly doesn’t give me the strength back I so surly miss. I’ll get the best balance in the end! :)

Hi try the going from picking up two dumbbells with one hand to picking up one with both and even then physically painful.

Well, I think you are brilliant !!

Your video really shows how frustrating Fibro can be.

It's all about managing it in our own way.

Sadly, we will never be the same again but personally, I felt once I accepted that, things were easier.

It's that word again 'pace' yourself and try not to focus on what you can't do but find ways around it. Oh and rest in between!

You will get there, I promise.

Keep posting the videos, they are brilliant and help raise awareness of Fibro.

Big hugs

Sue x

Loved your video and you explain the weakness and fatigue so well. The frustration you feel comes across so well. Keep making the videos. Really helps listening to somebody who actually gets it!

Thank you! I just felt I had to post how I was feeling at that moment as it really doesn’t make sense to me but understand that’s the reality of the situation now.
