Hi looloo4007, I have previously taken Tramadol and a friend of mine who is a nurse advised me to take paracetamol alongside it. I laughed as paracetamol didn’t touch the pain of my fibro, but she said paracetamol enhances the effect of the Tramadol. She was right! It worked really well. I currently don’t need it, but I have kept that one in mind for when I am ever in need again. I have previously taken Gabapentin but was a long time ago and can’t remember if it was at the same time as the Tramadol so wouldn’t want to give misleading information. I can only say as I found.

May be worth a shot and I wish you well with finding a pain relief regime that works for you x

Hi looloo4007 ,

I am on a slow release Tramadol (called Maxitram), and I find it works much better than the Tramadol did. I also take Gabapentin along with it too, and when the pain is really severe I also take Paracetamol, which does help greatly x

Hi I was on them a few years ago actually maybe I should try them again , Thank you 🙏

in reply tolooloo4007

Don't put yourself back in gabapentin without your Dr telling you too, this isn't a drug that you can take when you want too, it needs gradual withdrawal and also gradual increase , it's not like paracetamol which you can take when needed

I have AF, bad arthritis and I have to take warfarin I also take gabapentin but my doctor tells me that the safest painkiller I can take is strong pain killer Zapain. Cheers Gladie. x.

They are 500mg Paracetamol plus 30mg Codeine also known as Co-codamol. They are only available on prescription in the UK. Good Luck. Gladie. X.

Hi

I've been referred to have pain killing injection, it might be worth asking your Dr about it. If I need an emergency appointment I have to go and queue up before they open to get an appointment that day. Please take care. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Just saw this thread and if I understand it you are thinking of taking gabapentin and tramadol together but you have not taken the gabapentin for a while? If this is the case then gabapentin is a drug that take time to build up and taper off so you should talk to your GP about it. Also if you have not been prescribed them for a while then speaking to your GP would also be required.

The advice about paracetamol is good as it does have this positive amplification affect with some drugs that they cannot explain.

Hi I suffered terribly with restless legs syndrome and by chance I saw a locom doctor about something else and he picked up on the restless legs. I had a blood test and my ferritin levels were low. He gave me iron tablets that I had to take for a few months and that got rid of it. Also have to make sure I drink plenty of water. I only take the iron tablets a couple of times a week now and it's very rare I get it now x

That’s interesting I do take iron tablets everyday and other vitamins so maybe this is helping my rls as well thanks 🙏

Hi

I'm not sure which injection it is but I do know it's not steroids. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
