To me they sound like mainly if not all to be fibro meds , I am assuming I hope correctly, you have been diagnosed with RA, obviously not knowing your medical history,

RA is often treated in the short term with predisnolone , but because of side effects it is only recommended for short term use. More long term meds for RA are methotrexate and sulfasalazine to name but a few. I would recommend you speak to your GP or rheumatologist to clarify the matter for you

Hope that helps a little

I'm the same. I have RA as well as fibro, and the tramadol/paracetamol combo seems to help both. I take dosulepin at night and that is really good.

If things get really bad I sometimes have a short course of prednisolone, but I'm lucky that it's not too often.

My arthritis is being treated with my Fibromyalgia medications and it works well for me most of the time.

Hi

I'm new to the forum and read your question with interest. I've been diagnosed with RA for the past 16 years and have done most of the usual meds for RA - sulphasalazine, penacillamine, methotrexate ,which I found great until 2 years ago when I started feeling really sick, I'm now on leflumazide. I've been telling my Rheumatoid consultant for years that I felt crap , tiredness, pain, not sleeping then sleeping for Britain and still feeling tired! All she said was my bloods were fine! I just thought it was part of RA , after further investigation myself, I am convinced I have the symptoms of FM but when i suggest this my consultant doesn't want to know! The nurse practiser says I probably have it but hasn't examined me! I take 1 g of naproxen a day for my RA as well. So, as far as I'm concerned, my RA drugs don't treat my possible FM!
