Hiya everyone my names jo .. I was diagnosed with fibro after a year of extremely painful muscles benifits wise .. My mum recently died and i was her carer so just got to change over to sickness benifits and really scared that my illness is invisible how has everyone else delt with this

I'm really sorry to hear about the recent loss of your mum.

The benefits system can be a minefield, for sure. We have a benefits advisor here on the forum. If you look at the right of the page you will see it says "Pinned Posts" and to the right of that it says "See all". If you click there you will be able to see where it says about Benefits Advice, and you will also find the telephone number for the Benefits Helpline. Alternatively you could contact your local Citizens Advice, who will be able to help.

Hi Jo, I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you with benefit advice. We are a friendly group and their is always someone around to help who has gone through the same problems and can answer any questions or just send you a hug. At this sad, difficult time after the death of your mum please just take one day at a time and remember we are all here for you.
