I have Fibro and some other things and have days of exhaustion then days of no sleep. The problem is that I haven't had a child yet and am 33. I have been off work for 2 years with no signs of returning. Had anyone else managed to deal with the strain of fibro while being pregnant/looking after a baby.

My Fibro was controlled before I got pregnant, and that was definitely the ideal. If nothing else, the medications I needed to help control my Fibro cannot be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I had to come off most of my meds to have a baby, but my Fibro remained well controlled.
But people do have babies with out of control Fibro. Some do better afterwards, some do worse, there isn't a good way to predict how pregnancy and having a child will affect you with Fibro.
It is definitely worth making sure that your diagnosis is not just accurate, but comprehensive - ie. that everything that is going on with you has been pinpointed.
This is partly because many of the things that should be ruled out during Fibro diagnosis but may be missed - e.g. Hughes Syndrome, Lupus, a chronic infection... - can cause issues with fertility, pregnancy and birth.
Fibro itself doesn't cause fertility issues, but if you do have bad myofascial issues (very common with Fibro) then it would be best to improve this before getting pregnant because it may well cause further issues when pregnant and you are limited in treatment options during pregnancy. Even if you are "just" hypermobile with Fibro (hypermobility being a risk factor for developing Fibro), you need to know this to be proactive with physio, etc in order to limit the issues you might have with SPD/Pelvic Girdle Pain.
I have adored becoming a Mum and have actually found that my Fibro is now even better controlled. Breastfeeding has seemed to have helped me especially.
sometimes fms is better when your pregnent but others its not .. i managed kids lots on people here do friends and family can help ...talk to the GP good luck
I was 35 when I had my daughter, you learn to sleep when baby sleeps and fit things like the house work in when your on a good day, also a good man helps
