Hi guys, needing some wisdom here. 50 yrs of age and am experiencing some horrible symptoms I have no control over.
Been tested thoroughly bloods etc, and nothing found.
But everyday now I experience pain in joints all over. NOT ARTHRITIS, I have NO markers at all for this.
Really getting to me... Swimming and bathing seem to help, but it's getting to point where I feel really like bits of me are going to break.
Is this fibro myalgia? And if so what can I do? To put you guys in the picture I've had enough cortisol running through me for 100 people, especially last two years.
Any tips, very much appreciated, I feel like doc not listening!
Thanks

Hi
Yes, I think it could be. You need to go back to your GP or a different one if he's not listening. Take care Lynne
Has your GP referred you to a rheumatologist for diagnosis ? There’s a long wait in a lot of areas but could be a way to get a definitive answer.
Raised Cortisol can indicate inflammation in the body. So what has been tested ? You are legally entitled to have copies of all blood test results with ranges - so you can check the tests done and the ones that have been missed. Was your CRP tested - an inflammation marker ?
VitD - Folate - Ferritin and B12 also need to be tested and have good results for you to feel well. these are not routine tests and need to be requested ... Auto-immune Thyroid needs to be ruled out too ...
Hi Xander,, There are no test to confirm fibromyalgia...if you type in test for fibro by US doctor...it has a questionnaire that you can do...no one can have all the things they ask...everyone is different. A doctor in the US developed it with all of the research that he has done dealing with his patients. Check it out. It helped me. There were things on there that I hadn’t even thought about as sone of my other pain causing factors were more dominant.
