Hi all, my named Nadia, I'm very pleased to meet you all

I'm on here today as I believe I am having one of the worse flare ups every😥😫

I'm having really bad pains in my thighs and hip areas and also my shoulders arms and neck. I'm thinking of going to A&E But not sure what they can do for me, I've come off my pregabalin and is was taking more and more but I was still the same. I'm on co codamols every 6-8 hours but as you know it messes your bowels up. I can't stand commotion around me right now. I'm finding it really hard getting up from sitting or laying, the pains in my thighs are so bad I don't want to move

Does anyone have any advice for me, I'm so desperate for help xxxxxx

healthunlocked.com/fibromya... , hello and welcome you do sound like you are in a flare and resting and pacing yourself is certainly the best approach, can I ask did the doctor gradually wean you off your media ?? I can understand you need quiet as well. If you need a piece of mind you could ring the 111 service and talk with them. It is horrid the pain, are you able to have a warm bath, I often say to members warm baths if possible and soak in Epsom salts. I try not to have co codomols as differently mesh up my stomach. But if you feeling desperate I would talk to someone, if we get uptight and worry (I know I’ve been there) it will make you feel worse, have you any family with you today, I have posted a link above if you would like to lock your posts.

Thank you for getting bk to me. Yes we slowly came of the pregabalin and I try not to take co codamols but have no choice at the moment. Will definitely get some Epsom salts as I do have hot baths to help. I also use a cream called Actimas (celafen) it help a a bit but this constant thigh and shoulder pain seems nothing can help it😑. And I feel so tired but can't get comfy to sleep. I HATE this illness xxxx

Yes it’s horrid , I had a bad nite, so hard as we try really hard everyday to keep positive x

Hi Nadia, sorry you're so poorly. How long have you been off pregabalin? I too didn't find them helpful and had to taper off them. I felt worse at first and had to take a lot of time off work. It's horrible to be in so much pain, I hope it eases soon...take your painkillers, have a hot bath and try not to worry, you won't feel like this forever xx

Hi Nadia

So sorry you are having such a hellish flare up.

Have you tried amitriptyline? This helps me and when I have a flare up codeine seems to help me some of the time.

I hope you get some comfort soon xxxx
