Well someone on here said something about just stopping antidepressants, which I also have done. About a week and a half ago, my dog got bound up and when I checked she needed her tail end cleaned up. Which was a totally disgusting job. I don't know if the smell I am unable to rid my brain of is real or insanity. I have been told that their anal gland give off a pungent strange odor. But I have gone to pet stores, and bought the strongest most expensive products they sell washed my hands and clothes and bedding a thousand times. I have washed with Dawn Dish soap, bleach, peroxide, antibacterial soaps, been spraying deodorants on my hands, caring around fabric softener sheets to keep rubbing my hands. Nothing gets the smell away. I taste it in my foods even. Other people say they smell nothing. I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahealthunlocked.com/fibromya..., morning did your doctor. wean you off gradually from your tablets as you can get reactions if suddenly stopped. If you really cannot get this smell out of your head I would book in to see your practioner nurse or doctor for a chat , if you would like to lock your posts I’ve posted a link above.

Hi, I think I had something like this. Every time I lay down or leant over it smelled like boiled cabbage!

I read it could be a phantom smell caused possibly by a sinus infection? It went away after a while.

Look up Phantosmia, it says something about being to do with the nervous system as well.

Go to your GP if it’s causing you distress, I was finding it hard to eat at one point.
