And lots of other places I have heard of worse ones

Did it help at all?

It seems to help a bit; once the initial burn wears off (which is nothing like the burn of the neuropathy), it settles it down and I can get on with my work! And yes, indeed, I can think of a few other places that I *really* wouldn't want to get this stuff!

Yes I've accidentally got Capsaicin cream prescribed by GP for pain in my eye (basically the same but already made rather than a DIY one! :) ) I always say on here that best to use gloves, be careful where you put it and also before use a 24hr patch test is probably best. If anyone else is interested in trying this cream for pain, here's a link that might be of interest;

Hope after an eye wash with plenty of water it calmed down quickly

I think so ... of course, I'm always willing to believe that it's the placebo effect! But I find that applying it and then wearing those thin open-tip arthritis gloves whilst the burning from the cream wears off has the best effect. Current recipe is 7 drops of chilli essential oil and 5 drops each of cinnamon, rosemary, peppermint, and lavender mixed in a 10g-size jar (like your average lipbalm) with aqueous cream - subject to change!
