How long is the wait

Does anyone know how long it takes after a referral to The Multi Disciplinary Pain Assessment takes ? are some areas of the country different dependent on funding ??

Yes thay are different every where it depends on the waiting list in each area

Normally about 3 months .However I know some that have waited almost a year .

Where I am, the wait is not too long, but you have to attend a 2 hour lecture on pain before you are allowed to sign up for an assessment. Even then you’re not guaranteed to be accepted by the service. I’m awaiting the assessment now, so hopeful it will help!
