I have some symptoms similar to fibromyalgia, I started with this 5 years ago. Although it never really went away symptoms were mild, 6 months ago it returned and to a much greater degree. It started with numbness and pins and needles in my feet and has continued to spread into all limbs. Please can anyone help?
Thanks Carol

As you have pins and needles and numbness have you had your B12 levels checked recently ? It's worth asking for B12, folate, ferritin and Vitamin D to all be tested and post your results here. I found d the numbness I had in my toes and fingertips was due to B12 deficiency. It righted itself after B12 injections ( still have fibro though )
Hi, the numbness really needs to be checked by a doctor or even better get a referral to a specialist once your GP determines what is causing this. I have FMCF but numbness is not a symptom I have.
It was numbness that first sent me to the GP back in 1987 and it took decades to finally get a diagnosis. Fibro is usually only diagnosed once everything else is eliminated. As fibro is different for all of us, we will not all experience the same symptoms. I have osteoarthritis too and that causes numbness in the arms, so sometimes it is difficult for me to know what is osteoarthritis and what is fibro! Low vitamin D will also cause muscle aches and pains. I would suggest you talk to your GP and he/she may refer you to either neurology or rheumatology for further investigations. Be prepared for a long journey before you get your diagnosis, if it is fibro. Good luck
With Fibro you must have pain in all four quadrants of the body. There are many other complaints that come along with it. If I had what you are talking about I think I would see a Neurologist and get his opinion.
I hope you get this figured out soon as Fibro can take many years to get a proper diagnosis and many aren't diagnosed correctly. xxoo
Hi did you find out what was causing your numbness ive been getting this but so scared to go doctors after googling im convinced i have ms or something just as serious
I don’t see the consultant for another 2 weeks, I hope he is more helpful than he was the last time I was there. All I got told was that I had hardening of the Arteritis in the brain, this is not a diagnosis in itself. As soon as I have something more useful to tell you I will let you know.
