A pain in the bum

Sorry for the topic but does anyone else get a pain at the top of their bum cheeks?

I have painful limbs and have had in varying degrees for months now and I suffer terribly although intermittently with neck and shoulder pain but over the last couple of weeks I have developed painful buttocks 😳

Does anyone else get this and do it have any remedies for it please?

Marie

Yes I have severe pain in buttocks and down back of legs. I try to stretch the muscles but nothing seems to touch the relentless pain and discomfort. It leaves me very fatigued. I have a hot bath at night and a hot shower in the morning to try to warm up my muscles. I’m super clean! 😂 u haven’t managed to get to grips with the pain but will keep trying. Sorry I know this isn’t much help to you and I do hope that you manage to find something that will take the edge off your pain. 😊

I struggle to get in the bath as I also have PVD. Super clean is much better than smelly lol

Hi. I have just recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after suffering from arthritis since I was very young. Pain killers have little or no affect, side effects are dizziness and blurred vision... The following might not work for all, but worth a try I feel, as it did work for me.

My husband purchased Manor Oil, Sweet Almond 100ml along with Manor Oil Lavender, mix in a small part of the Lavender to the 100ml, shake, and warm. My husband massages this into my affected areas, which does include the top of the bottom. The massage has to be quite aggressive. I gives me short time relief but is well worth the massage... Try, if it works please let me know.. Regards..

I can’t use lavender oil but thanks for the suggestion 😊

Haven't tried it but perhaps try another oil mix or just use the Sweet Almond on its own.

Hi

Have you ever tried Capsaicin Cream? Drs can prescribe it and it can help with Fibro pain as naturally reduces substance P excitable with pain and you can add it to to the areas that hurt on your buttocks maybe as a pain relief cream. It's hotter than deep heat though and if sensitive to medications might be best avoided. If you decide to give it a go than a 24hr patch test might be advisable.

Here's a link with info about it;

Hope it helps

Emma :)

Hi Emma

Thanks I will speak to my go 😀

Yes might be worth trying as some people report it helps and others say they are too sensitive to the Capsicum peppers. If you try please be careful with eyes and sensitive areas after applying - gloves might be advisable too as it stings a lot - that’s from experience unfortunately! :)

Ouch! Thanks for the heads up

Hope your ok We’ve had plenty of sun here in Essex how about you

in reply to

We have lots of sunshine too in Derbyshire, whereabouts inEssex are you? I used to live in Basildon x

Yea I think we all do but don’t say It Fibromyalgia can hit you Any we’re and at any time even if your on medication Like tonight my legs are particularly bad tomorrow it could be arms and hands , then backside will get it So Lady Gabo the answer is yes xx

in reply to

Ok so while I don’t want to hear you are all in pain it’s good to know I am not alone.

Thank you all for your replies xx

in reply to

We all get pain in back side and sometimes we are. Pain in the backside x

Ha no need. I live in England I am clearly deficient. When I do go out in the sun I burn in less than an hour even in England so I don’t get a whole lot of it

in reply to

We’re do you live then ?

That is correct on both counts

Thank you

I will have a look thanks. I went through a pretty extensive list of bloods recently and all were normal. I eat plenty of eggs so will be getting some vit D from them 😀

Ok I get that you are passionate about Vitamin D but there are a whole lot more than 48 scientists in the world A large number of brits are low on vitamin D due to the inclement weather. Some exogenous vitamins impact other meds I need to stay alive so have to do my best with little sunlight and what I can get through my diet

I am sure those 48 scientists are right at the top of their game but science is not one size fits all and as such it’s just not possible for everyone to be in the range they dictate

Thanks for the info though

in reply to

Vit D isnt from sunlight it's in what you eat/drink and it needs fat in your diet to metabolise from foods as it's a fat soluble vit unlike vit C which is water so needs water to absorb it.

Many go red milk low/non fat/unsaturates then find low in vit D etc.

Sun light/UV is the catalyst that makes it work so it's the key in the lock that opens the door much like a cup of tea you have the tea/milk/sugar/cup etc but need the boiling water to make it happen.

in reply to

Ahh well lucky for me then I am a keto eater so plenty of fat in my diet and plenty of things that contain vit d so happy days all should be well in that department

It is usually caused by a really irritating muscle called the piriformis.

I have monthly massages and use a massage ball and foam roller to stretch it in between because standard stretches alone stopped working.

If you’d like a copy of the exercise sheet pm me your email.

Magnesium and vitamin D helps

Opioid use can make it worse
