Sore point with me I am afraid. I was at the Renal clinic a few months ago and the nurse noticed that I had a tremor in my left arm.She advised me to see my GP which I did He then after examining me referred me for a CT scan and I had that the next week.
I had to go to the hospital last Friday to see a neurologist and he examined me for over 1hr 35 minutes, he said that he had a good idea what it was but could not say and would write to my Doctor but would like to see me again in 3 months to see if the tremors had deteriorated. He also informed me that I had a tremor in my head which I did not know and that I had little feeling in my left foot I put that down to the stroke I had 4 years ago.
I am expecting my Dr to call me to see him as to what it is I am scared to death it might be Pakinsons I really hope not
I am wondering Heliboy911 if this doctor took bloods?? most things can be diagnosed from blood test (except Bl***y fibro) Those tremors? are you taking any meds like pregabalin or gabapentin?
Yes love had my bloods done twice in a month and I am taking gabapentin 2 tablets 4 times a day. The Neurologist ruled out any medication problems as I have been on the gabapentin for a long time. The part that worries me is that he did not tell me what it was.
I hope not too. my arms and legs go to jelly. no strength anywhere in my body anymore.
I get sore joints after doing gardening or knitting, I was told its called arthralgia I use voltarol gel like hand cream remember not to itch anywhere whilst its one-I have some white cotton gloves i use when i ve applied the gel and Ive got some ISOTONER lycra gloves i got from occ therpaist (you can buy them on ebay) very good for support, as for back pain if its low down ive discovered volatarol plasters (not the heat pads) from Boots your can sleep in them bit pricey but effective, other than that I wear a TENS machine and walk around with it on... these are all learning curves to help cope
Yes there is always a reaction of some kind after doing anything requiring energy! Feeling shaky or wobbly is quite normal, I think. I go to a Yoga class, and sometimes feel very shaky towards the end of the class. My back aches after any exertion, so I am taking things a bit easier these days. Pacing yourself is important so you don’t overdo things.
