I work 33 hours as a nurse , feeling so tied getting up at 530am and be at work for 645. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in November. My work have been really good I am now working in clinic not wards. Still finding it hard get up, as usual wake up least 5/6 times night with pain. Can I get any help on benefit, if I cut my hours down can I get benefit to cover that. Not included my husband money. Or do they do it per house hold. What not fair because my independent we go away. Please help me

I was a nurse until I retired at age 61,, are u in the nhs pension scheme? are you in the Union, both these areas can help you .. go also to gov.uk and ask for ESA help.. I initially reduced my hours but had to give in due to fatigue and brain fog. You should also make appt with Occ health who are there to help to support, you..have you applied for PIP? that is for

YOU not hubby most benefits for ill health are based on income BUT PIP is for you, try down that road first..33 hrs is too long with fibro get help from Occ help to reduce them, THEN apply for ESA.. if you need help emphasising how badly fibro affects you come back to me I have made a word document of my situation and left no stone unturned..

online gov.uk ask for ESA then for PIP in which ever order you prefer, (personally I would do PIP first) PM me any time yu need help and get your union and occ health onboard to help you, as much medical backing as posss to support your need. good luck always here hun.

Contact your social security office or local council. They will send you the form.
