Which supplementsmight help me?

Hi! Can you tell me which (if any) supplements you take please? I think I read that magnesium is important. I am post menopause and have RA and Fibro. Struggling with severe tiredness every day.

Thank you

Hi Julie

Here's my list as recommended by fibro specialist and GP obviously this was based on my blood results and what I need may not be what you need. I do not take prescription meds (tried many but none seems to agree with me!)

Vit D 20,000iu every other day (need to have regular blood tests on this to make sure not overdosing)

CoQ10 - 200mg

Tocotrienols - 50mg

L-Carnitine 1200mg

Vit B12

I'd like to know when to take vitamins. I usually take a multi, Super B's, 40,000 D once a week, magnesium, calcium, CoQ10, and wonder if I should take iron. I'm 74. I blood test showed normal/low on iron awhile ago so took them for awhile but not now. I'm just so tired, despite Provigil, 1/2 during the day. It helps, with pain med to get me going but since I stay up very late I was wondering if the vitamins in the eve should be taken in AM. Does it make a difference? My Pharmacist is great and thought the big blood splotch on my arm could be a deficiency in a Vit. like from lettuce or zuccini, and doesn't think it's from one of my meds. Wish I could attach a picture. I get them often from itching which is from WHAT. I do not get the blotches on ankles/feet much even tho they are where itching started. Fingers will itch especially in the AM and be very cold. It's very irritating. My meds. are Cymbalta for Fibro and depression, Norco for pain, Ambien for good sleep, but sometimes Xanax (I have anxiety), the Provigil for daytime sleepiness, Ziac and Norvasc for blood pressure (the first meds. I was given in my 40's), Metformin for late onset diabetes. For Gerd I take my only Name brand med, Dexilant in AM, Diet is varied...have to be careful due to IBS so not a lot of fruits/veggies but I'm addicted to popcorn in late eve.. I take 30mgs of Cymbalta in AM, then 60mgs later and keep forgetting to ask if I should take the 90 mgs of Cymbalta altogether. I've heard that they can cause fatigue but if they're for depression that doesn't make sense. Also I wasn't sure about L Carnitine because I read something about it conflicting with meds. Does anyone know? And are vitamins best in Am or. PM? They should be taken with food and i only eat one full meal in eve....but spread out the rest which isn't much unless I'm at a reception and there's yummy stuff. Wishing you no pain days...M.A. in USA
