Text off dwp ?
Hi π
Yeah I got a text from them as well then I got my letter about 2 weeks after that. Unfortunately I didnβt get it I was 1 point short. But I am appealing it. X
Hi jilly77 thanks for reply...I'm so sorry to hear you have to go through the appeal process its so stressful an I wish you luck for a better response...yes i was expecting for this not to be good news with the fast response of receiving this text I wonder how it fails a review when nothing's changed in 12 months its so strange isn't it hope i don't have to go through what your going through I couldn't fight it again I don't have the strength I tried fighting them through tribunal 6 years ago and still failed no I couldn't go through that again I feel for you an wish you all the luck in the world to be on your side π
Hi
Don't worry each area is different and it depends on what back log they have to how quickly you get a response .
Hi Rose54 oh I see so I thought if it's quick they've already made their mind up because my first time took months ...thank you for your reply π
Yes text is normal unless like me you don't have a mobile!
That throws them into complete dilemma. I heard nothing until award came through some 10 days after they received my application forms
x
Hi Bananas5 oh yes I imagine that would throw them off track a little...perhaps if i didn't get a mobile recently then I wouldn't have this text I'm wondering if that would have been better for me as it wouldn't bring my anxiety on an start an inquisition in my own mind so to speak...and well yes your complete process was really quick...thank you for your reply π
They asked me for my mobile number some time ago and I said I didn't have one as I hate them as I think the texting option is rude when people should ring and speak to you as texts can get lost , I said that is why I have a landline for people who want to contact me can do
It is none of their business if you have a mobile or not , if you leave it in your car or switch it off and hide it down your knickers it is no business of theirs!!!
So tell them what I did , or tell them your mobile is faulty , damaged, can't afford to put credit on it , ( the neighbours goat ate it!) but never give them your mobile because they do not need it
All you need to give them is a landline and your address!
They have no power to force you to tell your mobile number, it is just to make their lives easier bit like being dumped by text!
Hi Ajay575 ohhh I don't know if i could ring them to ask for the copy of report i would be far too anxious I don't know if waiting for the unknown or founding out the unknown will make me more anxious...I was just thinking its quick an must be not good news for me but maybe I'm being negative and maybe just my area as mentioned so.hopedully I won't have to fight them...thank you for your reply π
Thank you π€
I wouldn't be fretting, the DWP use automated txt messages now to acknowledge receipt of forms and to remind for appointments. When I was on ESA I would always get a txt when they received my sick notes so I wouldn't read any more into it other than seeing it as an acknowledgement that they have received the assessment. Good luck and take care. x
Ahh thank you Ramjets π
I have sent in up to date info like raise in pension etc and have had a txt a few days later thanking me for the info,, had you sent something in after the applic?
Hi NurseGladys123 no not sent nothing after assessment id sent in an updated letter from gp and updated prescription list with the form i tried to give the assessor my medical notes from gp but she wouldnt take them said nothings needed but funny tho coz when handed her my box of medication she pulled one out and said this is a new one she hadnt seen on my file which is strange coz its on my prescription so how its not on my file i dont know but no ive not sent anything after my assessment i wonder if i should just them medical notes that she wouldnt take off me ....the text just said theyve got my report from assessor and they will make a decision an i will hear from them in the next 4 weeks π©
I received texts too and it's not a reflection on whether or not they award you the benefit. It's simply acknowledging they have received it which gave me peace of mind, at least we know the paperwork got there. Good luck x
