I have not been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but I suspect I might have it. I am 27 and I feel like I am in the body of an old lady for the last year at least, with random pains moving around my body, I have no energy, I also have depression and a lot of digestive problems.
I am hoping to see my doctor about it soon but I am so worried they will fob me off like always. How can I ensure they take me seriously?

Hello & welcome, it does sound like fibro, but you need to speak to your GP about, which you are planning to do. Ask to be referred to a rheumatologist, I did this and after tests & an MRI the rheumy diagnosed fibro. In the meantime you may find epsom salt baths helpful& I also like those wheat bags you heat up in the microwave. All the best.
Sorry to hear of the pain you're in. My daughter, now almost 20 had 3 years of constant pain and got to point where she was in bed most of the time with heat pads as this was the only waygo get some relief. She did the lightning process and is now working part time and doing open uni. She is so much better! You can do a course if you can afford it but there is a book by Phil Parker called live the life you love now, available on line from Am...n about £13. This can help with pain and depression. It helps to change brain pathways.
For pain relief, if heat helps, try Linnex, also online, just google. It last ages and very strong. Dab tiny amount and build up according to your tolerance. It takes a few minuted to take effect.
Do your research before and make notes of what to ask before going to see the GP. They will most likely just try and treat you for the depression which is a symptom not the problem. Ask for referral to Neurologist and or Rheumatologist to rule out anything else just in case. Has there been any real stress or a traumatic incident in your life recently? This usually triggers the Fybro. Take care, and stay in touch
