Soreness/feeling tender everywhere.

My back, neck, soukders, eyes, ears have been feeling so tender and sore for the past couple of days. My eyes have been feeling really heavy and sore for longer. I am sitting here with a bobble hat on hoping to ease the discomfort on my head but it doesn't, getting worse. Been on gabapentin for 5 weeks. Have I given it enough time to work? I am only on 300mg 3 times a day. Getting worried as so tired and achy. If I go out and do something, I am exhausted and my body screams. Any advice would be welcome, just so fed up with keep having to visit g.p. Swear they think I am a hypochondriac. So fed up.

Have you tried epsom salt baths. Eye problem may be due to dry eye. GP, optician or pharmacist should be able to sort the eye problem for you. Wheat bag heat pads work quite well for shoulders and neck. I also use Biofreeze as recommended by my chiropractor. Diet plays a large part in keeping fibro aches and pains at bay for me but as fibro is different for all of us what works for one may not work for another. Trial and error I'm afraid. Only the GP/rheumatologist can really advise or alter dosage or medications so you will need to speak to them. It sounds to me as you are in a fairly nasty flare and you should let your GP know so that they can monitor it. I am sure others will be along soon with more advice for you.

Thank you. I am going to try and get an appointment tomorrow but I know I am thought as as a hypochondriac and hate to keep going.
