Hello, I'm Bev, I started hurting in 2001 once I got off of drugs and alcohol. However it took the doctors 3 years to say I had fibromyalgia even then I seen it on tv and suggested to my doctor only then they sai d I had fibromyalgia. However since I had pain on top of pain, now in November 2017 I started hurting in my abdominal area and the pain generated up my side and around my back. Now the pain is on my left side too. Have taken 3 CT scan nothing and just finally got approved for my MRI again nothing. So with this said can't lyon my right side without extreme pain and to turn over is redidculos. So I've been hurting for 5 months with a different pasin it hurtsto even sweep the floor, however I'm very uncomfortable. Went to pain clinic today 3-13-18,and was told they think it's my fibromyalgia that has grab hold of my muscles and nerve that's hidden. So put me on gabapinton 300mg and Percocet and going to do SI injection. So doctor is hopeful that this will calm some of the pain down. Also I'm hurting across my stomach also burning down my side back and stomach area. I don't even want to go places anymore. Very very uncomfortable. Hope this helps someone but you're definitely not alone.

Hi Bev,gabapenton helped me with twitchy jumpy muscles and some pain.not everyone gets relief with it or the side effects are to bad. Hope it works for you. Your abdominal pain could be ibs? Some fibro sufferers have ibs too, I do. Hope your new meds help! Nite🌜. Chris x

Thank you,I was on gabapinton years ago and it didn't help. So hopefully this time it will. And yes I do have ibs, however the abdominal pain isn't that. Reason being is it's a different pain and my ovaries are very tender. The pain clinic think my fibromyalgia has gotten worse and think it has granted a muscle and nerve that can't be seen. I'll stay in prayer for us all..

hi you said took 3 years to diagnose your fibromyalgia it took my doctor 25 years .after having a epidural with my first baby they topped e up to much they said anyway i started getting really bad lowrr back pain i couldnt bend over carry shopping was imposible doc kept sending me for pysio they put me on traction omg the pain that made me worse after going off and on for about 5 years at this time i had 2 children this time the pysio said there was nothing they could do and asked if I'd heard of fibromialgia and gave me some information that's when it was first mentioned to me told my doctor showed him the information he laughed at me said I was a made up physio illness and that I had m.e and that was it no medication nothing so carried on the best i could i was a single parient with 2 children years passing dtill no medication for m.e just pain killers and i was getting wore had a bone density scan showed osteoporosis but still no change other then adcal chews by this time was suffering from depression which i didnt not or doc didnt pick up on so i was in really bad pain depressed and attempted to take my own life only my daughter walked in the room that stopped me carrying on the next thing somebody from my family rang the doc while I was there so that's when the antidepressant tabs started but it had got me good and proper I started anxiety attacks told doc reply was the antidepressants will sort it they can't be all that bad it's in your head most of it in other words coz that's all I was getting told from them beginning years later finally was sent to the rhumatoid clinic but my anxiety was that bad i was having attacks I mean really bad all because there was no window in the waiting room all o done was cry but they mentioned fibro so more years now 25 years from that first appointment at the age of 52 with 4 grandchildren have fibromyalgia . osteoporosis osteoarthritis rhumatoid arthritis . mental health issues . C.O.P.D . C.A.D. i have reflux and have a hernia I have to use crunchers and ive been given a mobility scooter that wasnt working so hubbies trying to fix it because im in that much pain when I go out which is not that much I've been married 18 years and 7 years ago every time we went in a pub I felt like everybody was stirring at me so anxiety attacks every time so stopped going to pubs I'm I'm constant pain getting out of bed when I go that is I feel like crying with the pain in my feet the brain fog is really distressing well i think it is i cant remember silly things like my grandkids birthdays . my pills are all in blister packs i take 10 pills a day and i can only keep 1 weeks worth a time my daughter minds the rest because i have suicide thoughts pain clinic eont give me another appointment till ive sorrted my head out so have councilling every week don't think that's going to work because for 25 years I've been told it's all in my head from my doc so can't seem a councillor sorting that out but I do blame my doctor for the way I am because he wouldn't listen sorry for the large reply hun that's my story shared anyway
