Fiberomyalgia
It might be worth popping back to the GP with this one. It sounds quite like sciatica.
Do you know if you have some osteo arthritis in those areas? I have in my knee on the inside BUT its an area that has muscles meet that bone.. Perhaps your gp will take bloods to give you a proper diagnosis.. I get restless legs at night when I have spent a day lazing around (I watch far too much tennis) I alleviate this i will have a go at some stretching before i go to bed.
Hi NurseGladys
I have a meniscal tear, left knee. I was wondering if there are any non surgical non medication treatments as unable to have NSAIDS or steroids as on warfarin and have renal problems . Thanks
a meniscal tear usually needs a menisectomy (look under a scope) it can be done with a spinal IF the orthopod and his an anaesthetist will agree this is to see how bad the tear is andf if it will mend in time or needs intervention- they usually ask for permission to inetrvene whilst you are there,, beware approx up to weeks rest after-off your feet
I have had terrible hip pain for 12 months. I had an x ray which showed arthritis in them but also I have extremely inflamed bursa.had a guided steroid injection in it last month but only gave me relief for a week or so.
I can't lie on my side at night as the pain is like a knife drilling through and the pain travels down my leg.awaiting an appointment at hospital in April in hope of some relief on top of the fibromyalgia I feel like a 90 year old instead of 54. Hope you find some relief soon xx
Because Fibro has no rules. One of my first symptoms, looking back 20 years, was a pain in the bottom....I call it my saddle area. I would use a heat pad and suppository. I still get it if I stand or walk too long. I wish I had written a pain log starting then but just didn't. I didn't know what it was
Possibly iliotibial band which stretches from the hip to the knee - depends where the pain is. Worth going back to GP if it persists - not everything is fibro, and I believe this can often be treated with physio.
