My Fibro was initially diagnosed as Hypermobility.
There's different kinds of Hypermobility. Hyper just means 'high'. Hypermobility Syndrome has the symptoms Treewade mentioned.
But like me, you can have Fibro and hypermobile joints. Because my joints are a little bit more flexible than normal, I injure myself easily. It's very like a sports injury but from not doing much.
Thats not really enough to say yes/no hun- have you told your gp and have you had them x rayed? My daughter has acquired some of the symptoms I had when Anklylosing Spondilitis was active, I have mentioned to her footwear- high heels then slippers then trainer! POsture can also make our limbs hurt badly.. Sounds like you would be best to get advise from a doctor- insist on getting yourself investigated, some gp,s are watching their budgets right now ( or more like being told to) its important to have any diagnosis of a possible illness/disability in writing from a consultant just incase you need to get help like PIP.
I have enhanced pip and mobility. I have ME and fibro, out of control diabetes. Just to much to mention. It was on one of my medicals they. Noticed it. They tested me by different doctors 3 times with the same results. It affects my balance as my knees wont lock or my ankles turn over. I am not in any pain its just annoying
Hi Mistee, have you had your knee and ankle scanned. Just that my ankles kept turning over and on scan it turned out that the sprained ankle I had five years before had resulted in ligament and tendon tears and a bone spur. These were sorted out in a quick operation to reattach the ligament and tendon and shave the bone spur. Haven't suffered since. The other ankle although never having been sprained (as far as I can remember) had stretched liagment and another bone spur. Again surgery sorted it.
I don’t have reflexes in my knees but this is due to having adies Holmes pupil, I found this out by chance after ending up in a & e and they couldn’t get my pupils to dilate so I was referred to an eye specialist who also discovered that I had no reflex. maybe have a look at the symptoms for this and get medical advice x
