Hello, I have been sent a flyer about a pain treatment device similar to TENS. Has any one tried this particular type and if so does it work for you?.

Basically the PainPod is a much more intuitive and enhanced version of a TENS machine (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation).
The bonus to this you don’t need a trip to the doctors to have a dose and without the need to ingest chemicals by popping pills.
All in all I think this miracle worker and it could transform sports rehabilitation and recovery.
Interesting as I have been using a TENS machine for over 20 years to help with certain types of pain. No wonder how good the smaller one is as it would be more in line with most people's budgets.
Let us know how successful you are if you decide to buy one.x
Hi there.
All I see here is a lot of glossy marketing, hired celebrity sportspersons testimonials, and sexier iPhone style design/packaging for what is essentially a bog standard Tens type device. There is no new hard scientific evidence or independent double blind studies that distinguish this from existing Tens units . Just cleverly phrased marketing and unsupported woo woo bad science ( ' latest waveform technologies' ) - and a hefty price tag!
I don't mean to be negative for the sake of it - as a fibromyalgia sufferer on morphine patches ( and an occasional user of a Tens machine for muscle spasms - never found it helpful much with pain actually ) I would love nothing more than there to be a device that 'cured pain'. However I suspect this isn't it and money would be much better spent on an occasional deep tissue massage - or just on good healthy food, or a holiday or anything but a glorified Tens machine with a few extra knobs & whistles!
All the best for finding an effective relief for your pain.
Kind regards, Andy
