PIP TRIBUNAL
Hi Hun, happy new year to you and your family. Good luck for the tribunal. I appreciate it’s easier said than done but try not to stress about it. Please do let us know how you get on. Take care and get some rest xx
Morning Denise Happy new year. I am the same read posts every day just recently started chatting don't post often but best thing I've done. Goodluck with ur tribunal can you not get anyone to go with you. Xx
Hi dennydee
I am hearing many people having to hand back mobility cars which I think is unfair as it immediately impacts on people's independence. Some people work alongside PIP or even ESA (16hrs or under maximum £400 I believe) and need transport to work with a disability - the whole welfare system is ridiculous in my opinion!
Best of Luck for the Tribunal ..... and all the best for 2018 !
Emma
It would be good for you if you could take someone with you for support, hope they understand how much you suffer and good luck 😉
Thankyou.I will have to go it alone,I have left it too late to get anyone to go with me.I am nearly 68 and was on DLA before going over to PIP.I had a face to face assessment at home and I am sure the HP was writing about someone else and not me.She even said that I visit my mum numerous times a week.My mum passed away in 2005 !.I will let you know the outcome. X
Hi all the very best at your tribunal Hope it goes in your favour fingers crossed
Ew on your own? Could you find an advocate? If you investigate you may find there is a voluntary law service that gives Law students experience. Really you should have a friend too else they see you as too capable rather than lacking in suitable friends or family. Maybe Salvation Army person might like to help? These appeals can feel very stressful and a companion can help you feel more composed and able to state your case. It is too easy to get wound up and stressed even though we all know it does no good. If you are the sort to get stressed it really does take it's toll. Someone to pick you up after and chew the fat over a coffee and a bun will help you keep some perspective. Try to remember despite their office those judging you are just people. I wish you the best of luck.
Hi thanks for your advice.I don't have anyone to go to the tribunal with me. I have been to a tribunal before for DLA so I have a rough idea of what to expect.I had a face to face assessment in my home and the health profressional told many lies in her report. She even said that I visit my mother numerous times a week.My mother passed away in 2005.I couldn't believe some of the things that she had put in the report.I am nearly 68 years old and am determend to tell the tribunal the truth. The main problem that I have is that when the taxi dropps me off I have to walk over abridge about 50 yards to get to the magistrates court.I know I will have to stop and rest many times to get there.I hope it's not snowing or raining lol !!!.I will let you know the outcome.X
Thankyou for your reply.I have left it too late to get anyone to go with me.My husband has a hospital appointment on the same dayand it's very important that he goes to that.I have been to a tribunal before for DLA so I have a rough idea what to expect.I am more .worried about getting into the magistrates court from getting out of the taxi and about 50 yards walk over a bridge.I am nearly 68 years old and have difficulty walking.I will have to keep stopping for a rest and just hope for the best.X
I would advise to try and take someone with you . But that's my personal opinion .... good luck and hope it goes in your favour xx
