Boxing morning blues

Hi guys I'm sorry but I've not been on for a while.... I hope you all had a great Christmas unfortunately for me it started good I had my oldest son and daughter in law and the two grandchildren for dinner. I was feeling great until about 5pm just me and my wife at home but a headache came out of the blue very bad one then fribo fog.... I couldn't move my head the headache was banging really bad pains in my neck so I went for a lie down but I couldn't put my head on a pillow this was about 7pm.... I didn't know what to do so I took some oramorph.... I thought it would help but no way at midnight I went to bed laid down for half an hour and I had to get up I just couldn't lie there this headache was terrific..... I haven't slept yet it's now 5:35am and the pain is still there I just wish it would go away I've been sweating profusely on and off cramps in my right leg why oh why do we have to put up with this all the time... I'm sorry for the moaning but you guys are always there for me.

Sorry you are not feeling good, my situation is very similar to yours, I have a headache in my neck which has lasted for hours like yours, I’ve also been sweating and wide awake, this illness certainly doesn’t get any better. Hugs from me x

Hi, I'm sorry you have the same problems as me your right this illness won't get any better it's now 8am and still got this headache with the neck pain with it no sleep I've been wide awake all night long.... I do hope that you manage to get some rest today.

I'm going to try my best but to no avail it's now 8am I've been awake all night long.. I'm not coping with the headache and neck pain at the moment thanks for your reply

Hi Bob, I really don't wish to put the fear in you. But if you headaches as not gone soon I would call the out of hours service and see what they think.

I once went down with what I thought was a migraine. 4 days later I can't describe the pain. Long story, short. Doc came out called me an ambulance and I had suffered a head bleed. No way am I saying you have something as dangerous as that. But please don't let it go on too long. I hope by the time you've read this it's gone

What a shame. It sounds as though your migraine was really severe and that is horrible when you can't even rest your head.

To be honest I had a flare but in a different way yesterday. I thought I was managing really well even cooked the dinner (apart from the Turkey) but foolishly dropped some of my tablets so I could have a couple of glasses of champers. About 5 every symptom associated with fibro clicked in administration I struggled on for the sake of the OH until 9 and then had to give in but like you had no rest last night. I feel a bit better now I am up but how long that will last I don't know.

Hope that you will a bit better soon. Don't worry moan away as we can all emphathise.x

Dear rosewine, I've been taking my Meds all morning and I feel a little bit better the headache is not so bad at the moment.

I am fribo and spondolosis the two top vertebrae are crumbling which makes the headache worse sometimes I can't even turn my head.

Hi boba job, I would see/ talk to Gp, if it's not reacting to pain meds it could be migraines which need a different type of med to stop the pain. They can be excruciatingly painful, I nearly always have severe neck pain and stiffness before and during a migraine. They can also go on for days, sometimes weeks at a time,. Mine started as are silt of physical trauma too, I was nobles in two car crashes that permanently damaged neck. Hope you find relief soon, all the best.
