I get vertigo, it's usually caused by crystals in the ear that move and get stuck in a place that causes the vertigo, or it can be labyrinthitis which takes a while to get better. Stugeron travel pills should help but get checked by your GP in case it's something that needs investigation.
I have been suffering with the exact same thing especially when I lay down. Going to be talking to my GP after Xmas. You have my sympathy it's a really horrible feeling. I Hope you get it sorted take care xx

I’ve suffered from this for a couple of years now. Had all sorts of investigations but it maybe that I will always need to take a small dose of betahistine.
I’ve tried to wean myself off it slowly but it seems I can’t get lower than two tablets a day.
Wonder if there is a fibro link? Mine came on really suddenly too - the day before we were due to fly on holiday. We had to cancel and I felt really guilty even though it wasn’t my fault.
Hi hun I'm sorry to hear that you get it I took the tablets for a day and made me feel really sick so I have stop them I'm hoping that it will go on its own but my neck and shoulders have been killing me the same amount of time as the vertigo started I am in my 2 week now the vertigo is only there if I bend over all lie flat
