I have this problem when I have been standing or walking for too I have to bend over to try and release the pressure I have spoken to the doctor about it and he hasn't got a clue as to what it could be sorry I couldn't be any help but I hope you get answers soon
Hi Hayley I think I understand exactly what you mean. I believe I have periformis syndrome - the periformis muscles are in spasm and put pressure on the sciatic nerve and surrounding muscles in your butt etc. I get a very severe ache directly in my hip/lower back area and find I need to keep bending forward to ease the feeling of pressure. Hamstring stretches and glute stretches seem to help me maybe they might help you a bit too?
I agree Hayley95 muscles can make your bones hurt and ache if they are not supporting your frame. maybe ask your gp to refer you to physio or find a nice warm swimming pool heated to 32degrees at least and try a little stretching and swiming on your back.. I go to hydro, my kness have very little cartiledge and I was shown how to pump up upper leg muscles, this will then take over the joint ( I told my physio I want my legs like Rafael Nadal)!
Hayley95 I used to suffered the same problem mostly caused by a kind of repetitive motion or not sleeping well but the obe thing that it help me a lot after I 've tried everything on the book beside epson salt warm baths, massage therapy, pain pills, muscle relaxers was acupuncture done by not just anyone that is trained to do acupuncture but by an especialist that was born in that culture and study that kind of alternative medicine. It coukd be expensive but in the long run it bevomes cheaper compared to what you already spent over the years just to alleviate your pain. Good luck
