I haven't personally used it but I know it is a muscle relaxant so it might really help fibro as alot of our pain is muscle related. Hopefully someone else will come along and help more as I know there are quite a few on the forum who take this. Good luck with it hope it works for you.x

Good Morning Suzey,

I hope the below helps -> drugs.com/baclofen.html

If you aren't happy I would suggest that you speak to your GP further about this and maybe request to see someone else xx

To be honest I tried these and didn't help me personally - but as we are all individuals you never know you may find it suits you ? Keep us posted :)

I do believe they are for muscles to help pain and relax tension inn them!

i had some muscles in my back that had tensed up and the doctor gave me baclofen. They really helped the spasm go away but he warned me only to take a few days then off a few days. unfortunately the other side effects were extremely bad nightmares leading to hallucinations. i woke up and the thing i was dreaming about was still on top of my wardrobe, i know i was awake as i took a picture i also started seeing things out of the corner of my eye. I stopped taking both baclofen and amytripteline at that point.

Hi Suzey probably by the time you read this you may well have been taking Baclofen for a few days. I have been using Baclofen since 2012. I have Cerebral Palsy which I have had all my life and I managed with no pain relief until 2012. Baclofen has been really good for me. I started on the lowest possible dose 5mg 3 times a day. I have gradually increased it over the years and have just increased it again to 15mg 3 times a day. I use a pill cutter to cut the pills in half as they are only available in 10mgs. It does make my sleepy in the middle of the day after my lunch time dose but you just have to work through it and it does wear off. You must take it with or just after food and do not miss any doses which I have done once or twice in error and it made me feel really awful my arms and legs were really heavy and my stomach really ached. Also don't chop and change the dose from one day to the next as this can give you side effects. They are brilliant little pill I really hope it works for you.

Thank you for that information about yourself I have been taking 10mg twice a day ,I do feel a little strange sometimes but I’m trying to cope with that hoping it’s going to get better ,iv noticed the pain is different at the moment I’m not sure how ,but I’m going to keep with them for a while hoping that things are going to get better ,do you think the answer is not to up them to quickly . Suzey X
