I recently got re-assessed for ESA and was kept in the support group which was a huge relief. However, there was no date as to when I'll have to be reassessed or 'awarded until x date' unlike my initial claim that was granted for 2 years. I've not contacted DWP to ask as I'm fearful if I draw attention to it they'll suggest reassessment in 6 months or something equally draconian. Has anyone else had this happen recently? It might be they've changed things and don't give a date anymore. I'd be grateful if anyone can help. Thanks x

Support group assessments tend to have longer times between them I do hope yours turns out to be lengthy one. As you say you don't want to remind them more your presence.x
That's good to know, thanks rosewine. I think it was 2 years last time but it took 3 years for reassessment and it was my first benefit claim. Fingers crossed it will be like that again but the lack of date is unnerving to say the least x
Hi Lipbalmaddict01 welcome to the fibro forum. I see you are a member of the thyroid forum already, do you have fibro too ? It seems a lot of people have both conditions.
Exactly the same for me & I've been dreading that Brown letter with a date for assessment on it. I did speak to benefits advise & was told, they will get round to you eventually, they are just overloaded & can't keep up. I think she said they have till 2918 to forefill their change over plan.
I haven't rang them either and It is a bit stressful but I try not to think about it to much, they will contact you eventually. No one is safe lol..sorry I can't help more than that.
Thanks Jan, yes I have an underactive thyroid too! Plus other autoimmune problems and severe mental health difficulties. Everything seems to be tied to fibro in one way or another doesn't it?!
I had an 8 month long PIP struggle that was resolved only after I sent in my tribunal appeal papers. 2 days after receiving that decision the ESA form arrived for reassessment. It's so cruel how they operate which is why I'm loathe to ask how long I'm in the support group for I'm opting for flying under the radar I think x
