Hi all just new to this group and suffer with fibromilga and also costchondiritis along with other health problems I take morphine tablets morning and night but at night amertripiline gets added onto in and if pain is really bad I take liquid morphine. Tried alsorts of different pain remmides but I rather have a side effect or they just don't help i try hot and cold packs also on top and no matter what I do nothing helps does anyone have any advice I'm sick of been in pain all the time and also I'm at a and e in a on a regular basis due to the cost which really gets me down any advice would be greatly appreciated xx

Hi Mandy950411 Welcome to our wonderful forum 😀 I'm sure you will find it invaluable chatting to others who have similar experiences and at different stages of their lives with fibromyalgia.

I'm sorry you are in so much pain, costochondritis is excruciatingly painful, I've had myself & been in hospital with it. Have you been referred to a pain clinic ? Are you on any other meds to help with fibro symptoms ?

Just like to say welcome. I too have had costo as long as my fibro and it isn't pleasant it seems to affect the whole body from breathing to moving so you have my sympathy.

Like Janet28 says referral to a pain clinic might help. Just a thought if the fibro is worse in one part of the day more than the other parts have you tried a Tens machine as it can take the edge off the pain. Look forward to your future posts x
