Hi there, i just found you trying to Google if there were any in patient facilities in the uk. I'm near Bristol and haven suffered for over 6 years but just recently i have relapsed to the point where I'm not sure i want to be here anymore. Don't get me wrong i would never do anything but i have no fight left and don't seen to be able to find any help. Is there any facility or clinic like rehab that i could go to and get help does anyone know?

Hi I'm not in your area but have you rang social services for any help? They maybe able to help or point you in the right direction for help in or around your area.x
Hi
Contact Adult Services and do a self referral as others suggest they may be able to arrange something .
GP may be able to organise respite as well
Otherwise local Mental Health Team they may be able to suggest something
All this Care in Community is ok but does not help when you need more than that
Hope you manage to get something sorted
Take Care
If you ever need to chat just message me.x
Hi Wam73
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
As the others have said, it may prove beneficial to contact social services and ascertain what help is available. You could also ask them for a home occupational therapy assessment and they may be able to offer you some home appliances that could help you?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Hi everyone, thank you all so much for your replies. Just asking had made me feel so much better. Like there may actually be some help out there. I hate using the phone, I think it's to do with all the stress waiting on hold and not getting answers I need over the years but today I just phoned my local social services and I'm down for an assessment. They said it could take a few weeks which I'm not sure how I'll cope but at least I did it straight away and the ball is rolling
So thanks for replying and helping.
Hi Wam73
The social services assessments are usually quite informal and nothing like the DWP assessments. They do ask a lot of questions as they want to know what may help you and will come up with suggestions themselves. Good luck with your assessment.
All my hopes and dreams for you
